It is crazy-hard to find a sitter during the busy holiday season, especially on a Sunday. There is tons of shopping to do and the kids can't be there!
Hotel1000 is hosting an afternoon of parental freedom with all the proceeds going to the great non-profit Art with Heart!
Professional baby sitters will look after participating children from 1-5pm as parents do what they'd like downtown. Kids 4 and older will enjoy games, decorating cookies, holiday arts and crafts while Mom \& Dad are shopping (or relaxing) downtown. What an opportunity!
Three price levels are available to make sure everything is covered. For only $50, parents can drop off their child for the afternoon. Each additional child is just $20 more.
If parking is required--it is downtown--the price is $75 for first child plus $20 for each additional child. Take the edge off with two complementary cocktails from BOKA, which are also included.
If parents need a little pampering, they should buy the $200 package and receive all the benefits above plus a $125 gift certificate for Spaahh at Hotel 100. Who doesn't want to treat themselves to a massage or a mani-pedi AND support a great charity.

Fun for kids of all ages-ice skating at Cal Anderson Park in Capitol Hill

Hi all, I wanted to share an exciting holiday season activity that runs December 6 through 24th that won't break the bank.

Ice skating in Capital Hill at Cal Anderson Park. It is $12 per adult and $6 for kids 8 and under and includes skate rental. Hours are 11AM through 10PM daily. I attached the website for more info.

Our family will be going with some friends and I will post the photos-even the silly ones.

Hey Seattle, it is a fabulous Friday. I have a Twilight hangover.

Hi everyone! Welcome to my world in Seattle. I am hopeful that this forum will be a fun place to share relevant housing and neighborhood information, fun happenings around town, some photos and interactive trivia. Let's see what this turns into.  Last night Jeff and I went to the midnight premier of Twilight-Breaking Dawn Part 1 somewhat by choice.... with 3 teen girls hopped up on sugar snacks. As you can probably imagine I feel tired however it was an interesting night. I don't want to spoil the movie by giving too much away about the flick and I am definitely not a qualified movie critic, but let me just say that the director could have just rolled 2 hours of Taylor Lautner footage and called it done. I am interested to hear about others thoughts on this important and ground breaking film.  Share!
